Govt wants autocracy via abduction, murder, claims Mirza Fakhrul
Dhaka: Government wants to establish autocracy through abduction, murder, violence, and case claimed Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
The BNP senior leader made the remark while briefing the journalist after paying tribute to former president Ziaur Rahman by placing wreath on his grave on the occasion of BNP’s 39th founding anniversary.
Talking about the Rohingya refugee crisis, Fakhrul urged government to help the Rohingyas considering them from humanitarian sights.
He said,’ They are not only Muslims, but also human being.’ BNP leader asked government to solve the problem by developing diplomatic relation with Myanmar government.
Claiming that government is trying to establish autocratic rule, Mirza Fakhrul said, ‘We are taking oath to establish democracy once again. We will not let the government to establish autocracy.’
BNP Senior Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, standing committee member Mirza Abbas, Nazrul Islam Khan and other leaders, activists of the party were present during the press briefing.
