Lakshmipur: Four people, including two of a family, were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Manadari Bazar on Lakshmipur-Chowmuhani road in sadar upazila of Lakshmipur on Saturday morning. Two people were also injured during the accident.

Witnesses said the accident took place when a bus knocked down a CNG-run auto-rickshaw around 10:30am, leaving Mizanur Rahman, a resident of Jamirtali village, Mohammad Yusuf Hossain, hailing from Abirkhil village, and his son Iqbal Shakib dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital, said officer-in-charge of Chandraganj Police Station M Mukhtar Hossain.

The bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
