Habiganj: Three women and a child were killed and at least five others were injured in a trawler capsize at Lambabag of Khwai River in Habiganj on Thursday night.

Among the four deceased two are Abola Sarkar, in his forties, from Batirpur village and Mukta Rani Das, a child from Bhabanipur village of Baniyachang upazila.

A cement-laden trawler carrying passengers, which was going to Radhapur of the Sadar from Chowdhury Bazar, suddenly capsized at Lambabagh around 8:30pm, said UP Chairman of Mokrampur Md Abdul Ahad.

Among the injured, Sahena Talukder was taken to Sadar Modern Hospital.
