16 Bangladeshi pilgrims die in Makkah

Makkah, Saudi Arabia: A total of 16 Bangladeshis pilgrims who went to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj died in last three days.

A total of 97 Bangladeshis pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia this year so far.

The deceased are Sufia Begum, 50, from Kolarua upazila of Satkhira, Md Shahin Mia, 68, from Paikpara village of Brahmanbaria district, ASM Abir Hossain, 61, from Mirpur of Kushtia, Md Moinul Islam, 47, from Rauzan of Chittagong, Abu Hares Md Sadikul Alam, 62, from Lalmonirhat, Md Mustafizur Rahman, 77, from Noakhali, Md Abdus Salam, 58, from Rajshahi, Halima Khatun, 52, from Sirajganj, Md Abdur Rashid, 61, from Motlob of Chandpur, Khairun Nessa, 70, from Feni, Md Nazruj Islam, 62, from Magura, Nurul Bashir Choudhury, 66, from Cox’s Bazar, Shirina Akter, 48, from Rangamati, Md Wazed Ali, 59, from Tangail, MA Rab Patuary, 75, from Dhaka South City Corporation, and Yasin Ali, 6, from Pabna.

Bangladesh Hajj Mission in Makkah confirmed the news.

Most of them have died due to old age complications.
