Man arrested after ‘raping’ 3 small girls

Narayanganj: A man was arrested on Sunday from Dewli Chourapara area in Bandar upazila on charges of raping three minors.

The arrestee is Badal Mia, about 25 years old, son of Khaleque Mia of the area.

Local sources said Badal allegedly raped a five -year-old minor girl of the area on Saturday morning. He is also alleged to have raped two other minor girls a month ago.

Later the girl informed the rape incident to her parents.

The mother of the victim filed a rape case with Bandar Police Station accusing Badal on Sunday morning.

Police arrested Badal after filing the case from the area.

The victim’s family members told UNB that Badal also raped his seven-year- old maternal cousin and six-year-old paternal of the victim girl’s cousin after alluring them with chocolates, chips, and juice one month back.

Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge of Bandar Police Station said a rape case was filed against Badal with the police station. Police already had arrested Badal and the three minors were sent to hospital for medical tests, OC added.
