Dhaka: A worker of a cable service provider sustained received bullet ias miscreants shot at him at Pirerbagh in Mirpur of the capital on Saturday night, reports local news agency UNB.

The victim is Nur M Bijoy, a resident of Bashbari in Bancharampur upazila of Brahmanbaria district. Bijoy used to live at a rented house at Pirerbagh.

Witnesses said Bijoy was working at Bombay Goli at Pirerbagh.

Some miscreants suddenly went there and opened fire at him at about 9:30pm, leaving him injured.

Later, he was whisked off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at about 11:00pm, said Inspector Mozammel Haque, in-charge of DMCH police camp.
