Dhaka: Shamim Tapu, an intern of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital, who was allegedly abducted by some unknown people on Friday, was found in Mintoo road area in Dhaka on Saturday night.

Doctor Sulaiman Khan Shiplu, brother of the abducted doctor, said the abductors freed his brother at about 10:00pm in the area. Later, his brother informed them about his position over phone, reports UNB.

Earlier, a group of unknown people picked up Tapu in a microbus from in front of the hospital at about 2:00pm on Friday.

Interns of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital blocked a road in front of the hospital in the city on Saturday, protesting the ‘abduction’.
