Dhaka: A pharmacy owner was hacked to death allegedly by an employee of his shop in Uttar Badda area of Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.

Pharmacy owner Awal, in his fifties, locked into an altercation with Fakhrul, around 20 years old, one of his employees, around 12:30pm over a trifling matter, said officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station Abdul Jalil quoting witnesses.

At one stage, Fakhrul hacked Awal with a sharp weapon, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body and arrested Fakhrul from the spot.
