Dhaka: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested a commander of the banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from South Banasree area in Dhaka on Wednesday.

The arrestee is Imam Mehedi Hasan alias Abu Jibril, commander of Brigade Ad-dar-e Kutni of New-JMB Sarwar-Tamim group.

Tipped off, a team of Rab conducted a drive at Banasree under Khilgaon Police Station and arrested Abu Jibril, said a text message sent by the elite force.
