Joypurhat : A man died from electrocution while trying to steal bulb from an electricity pole in Khanjarpur area in Joypurhat early on Friday.

The deceased is Shamim Hossian, in his thirties, Chalkgopal area in Joypurhat municipality.

Officer-in-charge of Joypurhat Police Station Selim Hossain said local people found Shamim’s body lying on the ground near an electric pole in Khanjarpur area on the Joypurhat-Dhamoirhat Road and informed police.

Later, police sent the body to Joypurhat Adhunik Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
