Dhaka: A private university student was stabbed to death by a gang of muggers at Tikatuli in Dhaka on Sunday morning.

The deceased is Abu Talha, in his early twenties, a student of Daffodil University. He used to live at Tikatuli along with his family. Talha is son of Nur Uddin.

Quoting family members, Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) camp duty officer sub-inspector (SI) Bacchu Mia told NTV Online, Talha left home for his university campus at Savar’s Ashulia on Sunday morning. A gang of three robbers came to his way and stopped him near KM Das Lane.

At one stage, the muggers stabbed Talha and left him critically injured. Later, local people took him to the emergency unit of DMCH, where doctors declared him dead. The body was kept at the morgue for autopsy.
