Chittagong: A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Thursday night fined two factories at Panchlaish and Khulshi area in Chittagong Taka 10 lakh for different offences.

The factories are Thai Food Products Limited, and Farmic Laboratories Limited, a medicine factory, reports BSS.

RAB Executive Magistrate Sarwar led the mobile court at Muradpur area under Pnchlaish thana and fined the Thai Food Products Limited Taka five lakh for producing adulterated food items, selling packaged products without mentioning expiry date on the products.

In another drive, the same mobile court also fined Farmic Laboratories Limited, a medicine factory at Khulshi area Taka five lakh for producing adulterated and selling date expired medicines, said the Executive Magistrate.

The mobile court also held 10 cartons with adulterated medicines and destroyed those before the factory authority.
