Dhaka: A Dhaka court on Thursday framed charges against cricketer Arafat Sunny in a case filed by Nasrin Sultana, who claimed to be his wife, under the Information and Communication Technology Act.

Passing the order, Dhaka's Cyber Tribunal Judge Md Saiful Islam fixed November 21 for the formal trial to begin with the deposition of witnesses.

Nasrin filed the case with Mohammadpur Police Station on January 5 last for allegedly circulating her sensitive pictures on the social media.

Police arrested Sunny, who is now on bail, from Aminbazar in Savar upazila on January 22.

The investigation officer of the case pressed charges against him on April 6.

The cricketer played 16 ODIs and 10 T20Is for the national team.
