Dhaka: The triennial national council of the ruling Awami League will be held on March 28.

The decision was taken at a meeting of Awami League Central Working Committee, held at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official residence Ganabhaban on Saturday.

Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina chaired the meeting.

After the meeting, AL general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam disclosed the party council date to reporters.

The last council of the Awami League was held on 29 December 2012.
