Dhaka: Dhaka University (DU) authorities have directed for ending all types of activities at its Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) by 8:00pm every day.

The decision has been taken for the sake of security of the university's students and teachers, acting TSC Director AMM Mohiuzzaman Chowdhury said on Saturday.

He said some unexpected incidents occurred in the TSC area recently involving outsiders.

Mentioning that the TSC authorities issued a notice on October 17 asking 19 organisations housed in the TSC to run their activities from 9:00am to 8:00pm every day, Mohiuzzaman said prior permission will be required to continue the activities after 8:00pm.
