Chandpur: A madrasa student allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Faridganj upazila headquarters on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased is Khadiza Akhter, a class V student of Kasiada Mahila Madrasa, and daughter of late Ibrahim of Safua village.

Local sources said that Khadiza’s mother Rabeya Begum got 2^nd marriage after death of her husband. Khadiza used to live with her mother and step father in madrasa area after death of his father

Sub Inspector Rajib of Faridganj Police Station, said that family members found Khadiza’s hanging body in the afternoon and informed police.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Chandpur Sadar Hospital morgue on Monday morning for autopsy.
