Habiganj: Rail communications of Dhaka and Chittagong with Sylhet resumed after a suspension for about five and half hours due to the derailment of a compartment at Rashidpur of Habiganj on Monday morning.

Shaestaganj rail station master Jahangir Alam said the Chittagong-bound oil-laden train wagon from Sylhet derailed as it neared the eastern outer of Rashidpur Station at about 7:00am.
A rescue train from Akhaura station has started for the spot to recover the derailed train.
