Chapainawabganj: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested three suspected militants of Neo-JMB's 'Sarwar-Tamim group' from Bablabona area of Sadar upazila early Sunday.

The arrestees are - Zenarul Islam, about 25 years old, son of Enamul Haque, Rasul Box, about 50 years old, son of Zillur Rahman, residents of Dhobra area of Shibganj upazila and Mohammad Islam, about 70 years old, son of late Masuruddin in Shibnagar area of the same upazila.

Squadron leader Murad, camp commander of Chapainawabganj Rab-5, said that on secret information that a group of militants numbering 10/11 were holding a secret meeting in a mango orchard around 4:00 am, a team of Rab led by Major A K M Ashraful Islam of Rab-5, conducted the drive and arrested the trio.

The team recovered one pistol, three rounds of bullets, 1.1kg gun powder, one magazine and three jihadi books.
