ACC to grill 5 ICB officials
Dhaka: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will interrogate five officials of a state-owned investment entity, Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB), in a graft allegation.
The Commission has already sent notices to the ICB officers asking them to be present at the ACC’s head office on November 12-13, ACC spokesman and deputy director Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said.
On November 12, the ACC will interrogate ICB senior principal officers Md Yahiya, Md Shamsul Akonda and Dhanaranjan Kumar Majumder.
ICB executive officer Supraya Saha and its senior officer AKM Rezaul Haque will be questioned on November 13.
Earlier, the ACC received an allegation that about Tk 238 crore was swindled out from the ICB and its subsidiary ICB Securities and Trading Limited during 2008 to 2015 through irregularities and violating rules.
