Keraniganj: A goldsmith was hacked to death by miscreants at Zianagar in Keraniganj on Friday.

The deceased is Jhantu Ghosh, 22, son of Prafullah Ghosh of Atibazar in Keraniganj, reports UNB.

Sources at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said a group of 3-4 miscreants hacked Jhantu indiscriminately with sharp weapons in Zianagar Malanchg ground area at about 6:00pm, leaving him injured.

He was taken to the DMCH where doctors declared him dead.

The reason behind the attack could not be known immediately.
