Rajshahi: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 550 bottles of Phensidyl from the Padma River at Rautha in Charghat upazila on Friday.

Tipped off, a team of BGB led by Mirganj camp Nayeb Subedar Abul Taleb conducted a drive in the area and seized the consignment of Phensidyl syrup from a boat in the river at noon, said sources at Mirganj BGB camp.

However, none was arrested as the smugglers managed to flee the scene.
