DSCC to launch drive against unfit buses from Nov 19
Dhaka: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will launch a month-long crack down on unfit and unlicensed buses in Dhaka city from 19 November.
DSCC took the decision, aimed to curb traffic jam in southern part of the city, at a meeting of the coordination committee of 26 organisations on Sunday with DSCC Mayor Sayeed Hossain Khokan in the chair.
Khokan said mobile courts will be stationed at five key points in the city during the month-long drive.
The Dhaka South City Corporation, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (traffic), Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and Department of Environment will run the drive against the unfit vehicles.
