Nilphamari: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir met each other at Saiddpur Airport in Nilphamari on Sunday and exchanged pleasantries.

Fakhrul was waiting at the domestic lounge of the airport to catch a Dhaka-bound Novoair flight in the evening when Quader, who went to the airport to fly for the capital by a US-Bangla Airlines flight, approached him.

They exchanged pleasantries for around two minutes, said sources at both Awami League and BNP.

Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, went to Rangpur to visit the victims of the recent arson attack while the BNP secretary general went to Lamonirhat to attend a party programme.
