Dhaka: Police in an overnight raid at different areas of Dhaka, Comilla and Madaripur districts arrested three people for their alleged involvement in killing housewife Nargis Akhter at Kamrangirchar in Dhaka, reports BSS.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Lalbag zone Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mofiz Uddin Ahmed confirmed the news adding ‘During the preliminary interrogation, they confessed their involvement in the killing of Nargis.

A mobile phone set (old maximus model M204M), three monkey-caps, two gold chains and one gold ring were also recovered from their possessions, he added.

Nargis was strangled to death on 30 June last year. Police recovered a half decomposed body of Nargis from the second-floor room of a house in West Rasulpur under Kamrangirchar Police Station.

Police found her arms tied with a piece of rope behind her back.
