High Court issues rule against PSC chairman, 8 others
Dhaka: The High Court on Monday issued a rule asking the authorities concerned why it shall not pass an order for recruiting a person, who has passed the 34th BCS exam, in the education cadre post.
The High Court division bench of Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam and Justice Zafar Ahmed issued the rule, asking nine people including chairman of Public Service Commission (PSC), education secretary, cabinet secretary and finance secretary to give reply within next two weeks, reports BSS.
The High Court passed the order after hearing a writ filed by Fatema Khanam on 14 January.
‘My client has passed the 34th BCS as an education cadre candidate. But instead of recruiting her, she has been kept in the waiting list as a non-cadre candidate, although there are 25 vacant posts in the education cadre service,’ said advocate Zakaria Sarkar.
