Cox’s Bazar: Bodies of two children, who had been kidnapped three days ago, were recovered in a jungle at Ramu’s Goznia, Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Imam Hossain, 11 and Imam Hasan, 11- twin sons of Md Forkan of Goznia Boro Beel area.

In-charge of Baishari police investigation centre Anisur Rahman said the two children were kidnapped on January 17 and the kidnappers demanded Tk 4 lakh as ransom from their family over phone.

After the incident, police arrested two suspected kidnappers-Abdus Shukkur and Alamgir Hossain-on Tuesday, said a UNB report.

According to their statement, police recovered the bodies of the two children at about 1:00am on Wednesday.

The two brothers might have been strangulated to death by the kidnappers, police said.

Police arrested seven people over this murder.
