Dhaka: Charred bodies of two young males were found by the bank of River Karatowa near Katakhali Bridge area at Gobindaganj in Gaibandha on early Thursday.

On information police recovered the bodies and sent to Gaibandha Adhunik Sadar Hospital for autopsy, confirmed Gobindaganj police office-in-charge Mozammel Haq.

Police said it is suspected that the young persons were killed sometime on Wednesday night and later the bodies were brought to the spot and burned down.

Identity of the victims could not be confirmed as the bodies were disfigured by the fire.

Police have started investigation.
