Dhaka: A young man was found slaughtered at his flat of Aftabnagar in the city Badda area on Monday.

Police recovered the body of Manzil Hoque, 28, owner of a workshop, in the afternoon.

Being informed, a team of Badda Police Station went to the apartment on the 5^th floor of a six-storey building at Road-3 of Block-B of the residential area and recovered the body around 2pm, said Ooficer-in-charge of the police station Kazi Wazed.

He said Manzil had been staying in the flat alone after his separation with his wife Sharmin Akhter Nishi.

Police picked up Nishi and she was being interrogated over the murder, the OC said, adding that the killing might have taken place over a previous enmity.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
