President, PM condole death of Gaibandha MP
Dhaka: President Mohammad Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday expressed profound shock and grief at the death of parliament member of Gaibandha-1 (Sundargonj) constituency Golam Mostafa Ahmed.
Golam Mostafa Ahmed died this morning at the Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMCH) where he was undergoing treatment after receiving serious injuries in a road accident in Tangail.
In a condolence message, the President prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and also conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
The prime minister recalled the contribution of the elderly leader in the politics and said Awami League has lost an honest leader at his death.

On November 18 last, Golam Mostafa was seriously injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Tangail Highway in Delduar upazila of Tangail while he along with his two associates was traveling to Dhaka riding on a microbus from his constituency.
He was first taken to Mirzapur Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Tangail General Hospital. As his condition was deteriorated, he was admitted to CMH where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
Golam Mostafa was elected as MP on March 22 this year after the death of former MP Manzurul Islam Liton.
