Dhaka: Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Sunday said the upcoming general elections will not wait around for any party that doesn’t look to participate in it.

The general election will be held according to the schedule of the Election Commission (EC) on the basis of the constitution, he said in a press conference at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.

‘The next election will be held under the existing parliament like other countries worldwide. The system is visible in many countries including United States, Europe, Australia,’ he claimed.
