Dhaka: The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have been cordoned off a six-storey building at West Nakhalpara in Dhaka suspecting it as a militant den since the early hours of Friday.

The law enforcers started the drive at about 2:30am on Friday. Sound of bomb explosion has been heard several times from the suspected militant den.

RAB Medic Wing Director Mufti Mahmud on Friday morning told journalists two RAB members were injured during the operation. The RAB official assumed casualties could be take place inside the den.

However, RAB detained the house owners and several others for primary interrogation in this connection.

A bomb disposal unit reached at the spot at about 7:00am.
