Netrakona: Two people were killed and another was injured in a road accident at Azampur on KenduaKishorganj road in Kendua upazila of Netrakona on Monday morning.

The deceased are Anju Miah, in his fifties, son of late Abdur Razzak of Pather Garbari in Kendua upazila and Aminul, in his twenties, of Suliarpar village in Madan upazila.

The accident took place when a Kishoreganj-bund bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw coming from opposite direction, around 7:30am, leaving two passengers of the auto-rickshaw dead on the spot and its driver injured, said Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kendua Police.

Injured Shah Alam was taken to Kendua Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Police seized the bus but its driver fled away.
