Dhaka: An underground gas pipeline in Kakrail area of the capital caught fire on Monday.

‘The fire broke out around 2:15 pm,’ said Mizanur Rahman, the duty officer at the Fire Service control room here.

Mizan said two units of firefighters rushed to the spot and put out the fire around 2:30 pm. It was not still clear what caused the fire, he added.

However, there was no report of any casualty in the incident.
