Nilphamari: Three people were killed and five others injured following a head on collision between a truck and an auto-rickshaw on Saidpur-Rangpur road in Dholagaccha area of Saidpur upazila on Sunday evening.

The identities of the victims could not be known immediately.

The accident took place when the truck collided with the auto-rickshaw around 6 pm, leaving three passengers of the auto-rickshaw dead on the spot and five others injured, said Golam Pasha, officer-in-charge of Saidpur Police Station.
