Dhaka: Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) President AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Tuesday described the country’s prevailing political crisis as an ‘acid test’ for the government.

While addressing an extended meeting of his party’s executive committee at its Kuril head office, he also urged the government to keep the law enforcement agencies and ruling party men under its full control.

Mentioning that BDB will take part in the next general election, B Chowdhury said the nation wants to see the reflection of people’s mandate in the polls under a neutral government.

He also urged the Election Commission to play a neutral role in the election.

Apparently talking about the question paper leakage, the BDB chief alleged that the future of students is bleak due to the negligence of the education minister, calling for recasting the Education Ministry.

He also expressed his concern over the ‘sliding’ law-and-order situation and soaring prices of essentials.

B Chowdhury, also a former President, urged the opposition parties not to take any programme that hampers peace and order.

He called on his party men to convey the programmes of the Juktafront to people.
