SSC Exams: PM changes cabinet meeting venue, time

Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has changed the venue of the Monday’s cabinet meeting and her usual office time so that SSC and equivalent examinees in Dhaka can reach exam halls in time.
‘The tomorrow’s regular weekly cabinet meeting will be held at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) instead of Bangladesh Secretariat in the morning,’ PM’s Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokan told BSS.
He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made the decision to make sure that the SSC examinees do not have to face trouble reaching their examination centres due to traffic congestion.
Instead of the usual office time at 9:00am, the premier will head to her office from her official Ganobhaban residence at 10:30am.
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and other equivalent examinations under ten education boards are set to begin across the country Monday.
This novel move by the prime minister is expected to curb the terrible traffic congestion the public examinees in Dhaka experience every year.
