Awami League Advisory Council Member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim on Saturday said Awami League would like to see the next general elections with the participation of all parties.

‘We don’t want to see one-sided election and we want the polls with the participation of all political parties,’ he said, speaking at a conference held at an auditorium of Krishibid Institute in Dhaka, reports the BSS.

Bangladesh Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) organized the conference with its President Professor Dr SA Khan in the chair.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Kamrul Hasan Khan, Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) President Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, Secretary General Dr Ihateshamul Haque Chowdhury, Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad President Professor Dr M Iqbal Areselan and General Secretary Professor Dr MA Aziz, among others, addressed the conference.

Nasim said BNP Chief Begum Zia is now in jail as court sentenced her in the Zia Orphanage Graft case. Awami League has nothing to do in this regard, he added.

He said, ‘I hope every political party will take part in the next parliament elections.’

The health minister urged the doctors to render the best services to their patients.
