Govt can do nothing if Khaleda fails to participate in polls: Obaidul Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Tuesday said that the government can do nothing if the BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia loses her ability to participate in the national polls following a court’s verdict.
He was talking to the reporters after monitoring the operation of mobile court on Dhaka-Mawa Highway at Nimtoli Point of Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj, reports the UNB.
‘BNP has elected an absconding convicted man (Tarique Rahman) as their Acting Chairman which proves that if BNP returns to power again they will be champion in corruption once again,’ said the minister.
Sirajdikhan Upazila Chairman and Awami League (AL) president of upazila unit, Mohiuddin Ahamed and other AL leaders were presented there among others.
