Dhaka: A contractor was shot to death at Mohakhali in Dhaka on Sunday morning.

The Banani police Officer-in-charge (SI) Hassan told NTV Online the 40-year-old man, Nasir Ahmed, was shot dead in front of Boro Mosjid at Dakshinpara area of Mohakhali at about 8:30am. The deceased died on the spot.

The Banani police Inspector (operation) Shaihan Rupom said Nasir Hossain was a constructor, who was working for the construction of Boro Mosjid.

However, the miscreants fled away from the spot after shooting Nasir. Later, the local people found the body and called Banani police. Police went to the spot and recovered the body.
