Gopalganj: A mother of two has confessed that she has killed her five-month-old boy by slitting his throat.

Police on Monday took in Lipi Begum, wife of Bulu Sheikh, after she had told the Tungipara police officer-in-charge, Mahmudul Haque, that she had to kill the infant as he used to cry whole night and giving her mother no chance to sleep.

The deceased is Yasin Sheikh. He has a sibling Imran Sheikh, aged about 8-years-old.

Mahmudul Haque said Lipi Begum of Patgati Dakkhinpara on Monday killed her son by gashing the throat of her son by a razor blade. Police detained her and she was then interrogated.
