Panchagarh: Police in Panchagarh on Tuesday morning recovered the body of a 12-year-old domestic help from the house of Senior Assistant Judge Lutfar Rahman.

Panchagarh police officer-in-charge Mominul Islam said Ambia was employed as a domestic help. She was daughter of Jamsed Ali of Gayabari village under Dimla upazila in Nilphamari.

Mominul said the room was locked from inside and they entered into the room by breaking open the door at about 9:00am.

The body was send to a hospital for autopsy.

Mokarma Marzi, wife of Lutfar Rahman, said she went to sleep after watching television and the girl also went to her room. They called police when Ambia was not responding to their calls.

Ambia’s throat had a piece of cloth around her neck, she added.
