Zafar Iqbal called me to say about his attack, says wife

Dhaka: Dr Yasmeen Haque, wife of Professor Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, said her husband is doing well at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.
Yasmeen thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for taking immediate steps after the attack.
She said that her husband made her a phone call around 5:40pm on Saturday, saying, ‘I am fine. It is bleeding but don’t tense.’
‘I don’t blame anyone. I would like to clearly say that police have been performing their duties to enforce security for last two years. There was no fault of them to ensure security. The attack happened unfortunately,’ said Zafar Iqbal’s wife while responding to reporters’ queries at the admin building of CMH.
While responding to another question whether the eminent writer will be taken to abroad, she said that they have faith on the country’s medical treatment.
