Juba League activist ‘killed in infighting’

An activist of the Juba League, youth front of the ruling Awami League, was reportedly stabbed to death in a factional clash at Kazipara in Jessore town on Tuesday night.
The deceased is Manik, aged 35, reported UNB.
It is known that Manik was an activist of the district unit of Juba League.
Kotwali Police Station officer-in-charge Sheikh Gani Miah said two groups of the Juba League unit had been at loggerheads over establishing supremacy in the area.
On Tuesday night, the two groups locked in a clash over the issue with sharp weapons at about 10:50pm, leaving Manik dead on the spot.
The body was sent to hospital for an autopsy.
