Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) here this morning to see Professor Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, who was injured in the attack on him at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology University (SUST) in Sylhet.

The Minister enquired about Zafar Iqbal`s treatment and prayed for his fast recovery, a release said.

A young man, identified as Fayzur Rahman alias Faizul, stabbed Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, prominent writer and Professor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), on the University campus in the afternoon of March 3, reports the BSS.

Prof Zafar Iqbal is now out of danger while Fayzur Rahman, caught by the SUST students, has been handed over to the police.
