Natore: Police on Wednesday arrested Natore Juba League activist Redwan Sabbir in connection with a case filed by former Youth and Sports state minister Ahad Ali, also a district Awami League vice-president, following an attack on the ex-minister’s house on Tuesday.

Ahad ali filed the case involving about nine persons with the police on Wednesday afternoon.

Natore police officer-in-charge Mizanur Rahman said a group of thugs attacked Ahad Ali’s house at Kanaikhali in the town and beat up his daughter Moushumi Parvin and caretaker Babu Sheih by cricket stamps at about 9:00pm.

Ahad Ali claimed that eight to nine thugs, led by Juba League activist Sabbir, carried out the attack.
