Chapainawabganj: A minor boy was burnt to death in a fire at Hathatpara village in Shibganj upazila on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Nabi, 9, son of Sumon Ali of the village.

Officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station Habibul Islam said the fire originated from mosquito-repellent incense at Ezabul Haq's cowshed of the village around 11pm.

Nabi, grandson of Ezabul Haq, who asleep there was burnt to death.

Later, locals put out the fire.
