Abid Sultan, the pilot of the crashed US-Bangla Airlines flight who sustained injuries in the plane crash, died at Norvic Hospital in Kathmundu on Tuesday morning.

Mohammad Kamrul Islam, General Manager (GM), Marketing Support and PR of US-Bangla Airlines, confirmed the death.

Two other cabin crew members co-pilots—Prithula Rashid and Khwaja Hossain—died after the crash.

Abid Sultan, an experienced pilot, flied 5,000 hours in total and 1,700 hours with the crashed flight.

The US-Bangla Airlines flight BS211, which flew from Dhaka to Kathmandu carrying 67 passengers and four crew members, crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital of Himalayan country of Nepal on Monday, leaving 49 people, including 25 Bangladeshis, dead.

The plane was carrying 32 passengers from Bangladesh, 33 from Nepal and one each from China and the Maldives. Kamrul did not provide the nationalities of the four crew members.
