Awami League General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Friday said their party must get victory in the next parliament elections.

‘We earned love and affection of the common people through our development works. The people of the country are happy with the honesty and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and there is no doubt that we will win in the next polls,’ he said, speaking at a function in front of Bangabandhu Bhaban in the city’s Dhanmondi, reports the BSS.

AL’s Relief and Social Welfare Sub-Committee organized the function to distribute rickshaws and rickshaw vans among the distressed people marking the birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

AL Organizing Secretary AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, central committee member SM Kamal Hossain and AL Dhaka City South unit General Secretary Shahe Alam Murad, among others, addressed the function with Sub-Committee Chairman AFM Fakhrul Islam Munsi in the chair. AL Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi conducted the function.

Quader said BNP has become isolated from the common people because of its negative politics. The people would reject BNP in next elections as they (people) did not response to any movement of the party.

He said BNP has been recognized as a terrorist organization at home and abroad. They (BNP) are now busy in hatching conspiracies to foil the next general elections, he added.
