Feni: Three passengers of a covered-van were killed as a Chittagong-bound Turna Nishita Express from Dhaka hit the vehicle at Fatehpur in Feni in the early hours of Wednesday.

Three people were also injured during the accident.

Feni Railway Station master Mahbubur Rahman told NTV Online on Wednesday morning the accident took place at Fatehpur railgate area at about 4:30am.

However, identities of the victims could not be known immediately.

The station master said, the Turna Nishita Express from Dhaka hit the covered-van while crossing the Fatehpur area. However, the Dhaka-Chittagong railway communication is normal following the accident.

The injured were taken to Feni Sadar Hospital, while the bodies were sent to Sadar hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
