Gopalganj: Jakia, a housewife, was hacked to death at Bedgram area of Sadar upazila in Gopalganj in the early hours of Friday.

Jakia’s family claimed she was killed by her husband Morshedaon Nishan. However, Nishan said his wife was killed by robbers into their house at about 2:00am on Friday.

Jakia’s father Haji Jalal Uddin said Nishan killed his daughter due to a family feud.

The Gopalganj police said it has been known that a group of robbers stormed into a house in Bedgram area and killed Jakia.

Police went to the spot and sent the body to Gopalganj General Hospital for autopsy.

The Gopalganj police officer-in-charge Saugatul Alam said four people including Nishan and his brother have been taken to the police station for interrogation.
